Yen is an associate in our Insurance & Health team, having joined the Brisbane office in 2017.
With a passion for insurance law, Yen’s area of speciality at BN is Workers Compensation.

Since her admission in 2013, Yen has also garnered experience in the areas of Professional Indemnity, Public Liability and Compulsory Third Party (CTP). She has previously been employed at one Australia's largest general insurers, managing an extensive portfolio of CTP claims. This experience has enhanced Yen’s ability to advise on matters with highly advanced commercial acumen.
Yen works closely with her clients to understand their strategic objectives and partners with them in tailoring a strategy to ensure their objectives are met and the best possible outcome is achieved. She quickly identifies matters for early resolution and is experienced in a range of alternative dispute resolution methods.
In 2018 Yen won the Queensland state final of AILA's Ron Shorter Award for professionalism in public speaking and was invited to present at the AILA National Conference.
Yen has a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Psychological Science, Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. In addition to her work at BN, Yen is a pro bono lawyer for the RSPCA Qld.
