Following the completion of the program, Olivia joined B.N.’s professional indemnity team at the end of 2015.
‘My progression from graduate to junior solicitor has presented me with new responsibilities, challenges and opportunities which I am extremely grateful for. The graduate program gave me a solid foundation for my legal career, and taught me life-long lessons that I put into practice everyday.’
As a junior solicitor within the professional indemnity team Olivia assists in a broad range of matters, several of which have proceeded to trial. She now has carriage of her own files, as well as continuing to assist senior practitioners in the team, acting for a variety of professionals, including:
- building professionals (including certifiers and designers)
- medical professionals (including doctors, dentists and psychologists).
Olivia acts for a range of large insurance companies. She has also undertaken a four month secondment with a large insurer. During that time she advised on a variety of general insurance matters arising from motor vehicle, home and contents, and commercial property claims.
‘I enjoy working for a range of clients and having the opportunity to advise them on a variety of matters.’
