"The built environment is an exciting and fluid commentary on our society – where we are, where we’ve come from and where we are going. Accordingly, working in tandem with those at the forefront of this industry, and the organisations that provide insurance support for these professionals, is both a privilege and a reward."

Kerrie is experienced in policy drafting and interpretation. She has a commitment to proactive claims management and to developing clear paths of dispute resolution strategy. Kerrie approaches matters practically and pragmatically, ever mindful of the necessary balance between an “in principle” and “commercial” result.

Having practised solely in insurance law since her admission, Kerrie worked at two national specialist insurance firms at the beginning of her legal career. She has also worked in house with the insurance arm of a national design professional body and prior to joining Barry.Nilsson. Kerrie provided risk management and contractual advice to construction professionals.

“Barry.Nilsson. is a firm that one is easily drawn to, both as an employee and as a client. They have an excellent profile in the market and a culture and philosophy which aligns very nicely to my own professional and ethical codes. Progressive and Best Practice – these are the keywords that come to mind when considering Barry.Nilsson..”

Kerrie holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) from The University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) from the University of Sydney.
