Isaac Douglas

Isaac Douglas is a Senior Associate in our Family Law team and is based in the Brisbane office.

With a keen interest in all areas of family law, Isaac spent two years working in the Family Court of Australia where he was exposed to all stages of disputes, from prior to the filing of Initiating Applications, through to the hearing and determination of appeals.

"I enjoy Family Law because it is an area of law where I can engage with people closely to resolve issues at a time in our clients’ lives that is often stressful and demanding. I am particularly interested in finding client-specific solutions to problems involving complex property disputes and parenting arrangements."

At Barry Nilsson, Isaac assists in a wide range of family law matters including divorce, property settlement, parenting arrangements, child support agreements and domestic violence related issues.

Isaac has a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the Queensland University of Technology, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Isaac has been recognised in the 2023 and 2024 editions of Doyle’s Guide as a ‘Rising Star’ in Family Law in Queensland. He was also a Finalist in the Family Law category of the 2023 Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards, which recognises rising stars in the legal profession across Australia.
