Hubert Wajszel

Hubert brings a wealth of expertise in professional indemnity insurance with a particular focus on supporting clients across the construction sector including architects, engineers, building surveyors, and conveyancers as well as financial institutions such as accountants, financial planners, and mortgage brokers. He also advises health care professionals and local government, including councillors, and officers, ensuring tailored solutions for a diverse range of complex matters.

In addition to his professional indemnity expertise, Hubert has extensive experience across several key financial lines areas, including directors & officers liability, employment practices liability, contract works, and defamation law. He also regularly provides risk management advice, including undertaking reviews of contract documents and policy wordings. This breadth of experience enables Hubert to deliver well-rounded, strategic advice across a diverse range of matters.

‘I was young when I completed my law degree, but I was lucky enough to be offered an in-house position with the Australian Medical Association (Victoria), which nurtured my interest in tort law and, more specifically, professional indemnity. Since then, I have predominantly worked in that area having practised in firms both in Australia and the UK.’
