George is a solicitor in our Insurance and Health team and is based in our Brisbane office.
George specialises in:
- Workers’ compensation
- Dust diseases claims
- Public liability
George currently acts for large self-insured corporations under Queensland’s workers compensation scheme. This involves claims for compensation, litigated and non-litigated, in relation to personal injuries.
"I enjoy working in insurance, and particularly with our clients, as there is never an identical scenario, and every new matter brings its own challenges. Because of this, we are able to tailor an approach on a case-by-case basis in order to meet our clients’ commercial needs."
Prior to joining BN, George undertook a vacation clerkship in 2017 before completing a year as a Judge’s Associate to a Judge of the District Court of Queensland.
"I take a detailed and pragmatic approach to each matter, and ensure that our client is updated every step of the way. This ensures a collaborative relationship between solicitor and client, which is necessary in order to obtain the best possible outcome in each matter."
"I was eager to join BN given its outstanding reputation in all aspects of insurance litigation and its ability to provide practical and commercial advice in defending claims."
George holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
