Barry.Nilsson. announces new CEO and leadership structure

National law firm, Barry.Nilsson., is pleased to announce the appointment of Graeme Walsh as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.
Mr Walsh will be the firm’s first CEO following the retirement last year of long-standing Managing Partner, Don Leembruggen, and coincides with a broader restructure of the firm’s management team.
The appointment heralds a new chapter for Barry.Nilsson. as a newly constituted Board of Management is formed to oversee its strategic, financial and governance objectives.
Mr Walsh is a Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years of experience in financial management and strategy, financial systems, consulting and accounting.
He has spent the past 11 years in the legal industry, most recently as the CFO of Colin Biggers & Paisley and previously in management roles within Herbert Smith Freehills.
He also has experience managing business performance projects for clients in the legal, financial services, education and telecommunication industries.
Speaking about his recent appointment, Mr Walsh said he was a strong communicator who was passionate about building teams and empowering staff.

Barry.Nilsson. first launched into the Queensland market when it opened its Brisbane office in 1963 and now boasts a national presence in insurance and family law. It has over 300 staff including 28 principals in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart. Mr Walsh will be based in Sydney.
