Barry.Nilsson. expands Sydney family law team with new hire
Less than three months after opening the doors to its family law practice in Sydney, Barry.Nilsson. announces the appointment of accredited family law specialist, Christine Kelly to its team.
Ms Kelly joins the firm’s Sydney office as a part-time consultant, and brings more than 30 years family law experience to the role.
Previously Ms Kelly worked as a consultant for Reid Family Lawyers following nine years as a partner with Barkus Doolan Kelly (formerly Barkus Edwards Doolan).
Her appointment follows closely behind family lawyer, Bryan Do, who joined the firm earlier this month.
"I am delighted to be joining Barry.Nilsson. and excited to be part of the team going forward,” said Ms Kelly.
“Having known a number of members of their family law team I have always respected and admired their commitment to their clients and the quality of their representation."
Barry.Nilsson. Managing Director Don Leembruggen said Ms Kelly was a highly experienced and talented family lawyer who would be real asset to the firm.
“We particularly liked Christine’s strong experience in complex financial cases as well her experience in mediation and parenting matters,” said Mr Leembruggen.
“We are very pleased to welcome Christine to the firm and appreciate the wealth of knowledge and local connections that she brings.”
In April this year, Barry.Nilsson added its newest family law practice to its Sydney-based office following a particularly strong period of growth which has seen the firm’s employees grow to more than 270 and a national presence in insurance and family law.
Currently Barry.Nilsson. offers family law services in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. More family law practice areas are expected to open across the remaining offices over the coming years.
Mr Leembruggen said the launch of the Sydney family law practice was a milestone in the company’s success and opened new opportunities for growth.
“Expanding into the Sydney market is a major accomplishment for us and enhances our business in many ways,” he said.
“We are thrilled with the momentum that is building in our Sydney practice, greatly thanks to the hard working efforts of our Principal, Peter Milevski, and his team.”
Barry.Nilsson. was recognised in the 2018 edition of Doyle’s Guide, with 11 individual listings and two firm listings across five family law categories, including as a First Tier Family & Divorce Law Firm in Queensland.
