Jordan Farr

Jordan Farr is a Principal in our Insurance & Health team and is based in the Brisbane office.

Jordan's core areas of expertise are:

• Directors’ & officers’ (D&O) and financial lines
• Product liability
• Commercial litigation

Jordan has over 20 years’ experience in insurance law, specialising in advising insurers, insureds and brokers on the interpretation and response of professional indemnity, D&O, product, and management liability policies, and defending a wide variety of claims covered by such policies. He has significant experience in acting for major and boutique local and international insurers, as well as Lloyd's and London market underwriters.

His coverage and defence work is primarily focused on assisting clients in the legal, financial, property and construction industries, and involves acting in proceedings brought against directors, officers and companies; as well as professionals across a wide range of disciplines, including lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurance brokers, engineers and architects. His experience extends to managing the coverage and defence of class actions, Commissions of Inquiry and coronial inquests, and investigations and proceedings commenced by ASIC and the ACCC.

Jordan is skilled at simplifying and managing complex matters, and identifying cost effective and practical solutions for his clients. He prides himself on developing strong relationships with his insured clients and guiding them through the claims experience through clear, resolution-focused advice and communication, and collaboration with all stakeholders. He has developed strong industry affiliations throughout his 20 year career, including via his involvement in and past presidency of the APIG Queensland chapter.

Jordan has been recognised as one of Queensland's Recommended Professional Indemnity Lawyers in the 2023 edition of Doyle's Guide and in Best Lawyers for Insurance Law.
